Hello, My name is Andrea, please call me Andi. I want you to know how deeply I appreciate you looking at my profile and considering me as a parent for your child. This must be an incredibly difficult time for you and I wish you much peace of mind. I honor you for the courage that you have as you make the important decisions in front of you. Thank you for considering me.
I am a life long Philadelphian. I am an outgoing person who loves to connect with people. I am a single woman with a large extended family of parents, aunts/uncles and cousins in the area. In addition, I am part of a large community. Though I left the area for ten years of schooling I have been back in the community for 16 years. I live in a wonderful, safe and diverse area in a home that I own right outside of the city.
I have an extremely close relationship with my siblings and parents. My parents are wonderful people and they are local. My dad is family doctor. My mom had her own business for many years and now does volunteer work. My brother lives an hour away with his family, and my sister and her family live in Boston. We speak every day and are very much a large, loud and loving extended family. We love to gather for holiday dinners or for lazy days down the shore in the summer. I am very close with my teen niece and nephew.
Professionally I work as a member of the clergy. I am a rabbi and I work at a large synagogue as part of a team. I love to meet families at all points in their lives and to help them to find spiritual meaning and comfort. I am also an activist for those in need.
Fifteen years ago I founded a food pantry. My work involves a great deal of time with children of all ages. My congregants often tell me that I would be a wonderful mom; I yearn to be a mom and to provide a warm, loving, fun, creative home for a child. Because I work in a large community I have some flexibility in my schedule and my co-workers and congregants are very excited and supportive of my building a family.
In my work and family I have always loved helping kids to discover who they are and what special gifts they have been given. Though I am not yet married, I do hold out hope for that kind of committed relationship. In the meantime, I do not want to miss out on the blessings of raising children. With that in mind, and with the strong support of all those around me, I am excited to build my family through adoption. Please know that in my family your child would always know unconditional love, and I would, of course, be open to having you in our lives also.
When I am not working I love to cook big dinners for friends and family. I love to ride my bike, especially at the shore. I also love to sing. There is always music in my life. I am a movie buff and love pop culture. I enjoy travel and would want my child to see the world and experience many cultures.
As you can see, I am a person of faith and consider my life to be blessed. I would love to add one more blessing of children to my life, and to share my blessings. I wish you good luck in your upcoming decisions and in the months ahead. I am hoping that I will be able to learn more about you and your family.

We live in a friendly and diverse neighborhood in Philadelphia near lots of parks and playgrounds. Our block has a long tradition of amazing block parties where every family comes out to play and eat together.
For as long as we can remember, we have both wanted to build a family through adoption. Over the past six years we have made a happy life together. We are lucky to have close friends nearby and big families who support us. We can’t wait to share all the love and fun in our lives with a child.
We want to give a child unconditional love and support, and encourage them to dream big dreams. We want them to be proud of who they are and where they come from.
Thank you again for getting to know us a little bit. We wish you peace as you go through this process.

Sarah & Jason
Hello! Thank you for taking time to learn about us. We are excited to expand our family through adoption, but are also humbled by the deep emotion that the journey of adoption includes. We come to this journey from a place of love, honor, and commitment to community.
We met during our first career as ballet dancers. It’s true we actually made a living by dancing ballet! Although we have since moved on from dance, we both learned the value of motivation, dedication and hard work. With these traits, we have traveled the world (we lived in South America for almost a year), reinvented our careers (Sarah as a social worker and Jason as a sales manager for a local café), and even hiked across the United States three times (just Jason on this one! Sarah decided to stay home :)).
We moved back to Philadelphia after traveling and working elsewhere in 2014. We loved the diverse community of Philadelphia and were excited to build our long-term lives here. We live on an amazing block with our 2 ½ year old son, Nico. Nico is so excited to be a big brother! There are also lots of families on our block with young kids – including several families formed through adoption.
Our family, friends and neighbors are truly the foundation of our lives and we are thrilled to welcome another member to our family!

Hello! Thank you twice—once for considering adoption, and again for clicking this link. We are humbled by the enormous love that you are showing your child by so thoughtfully planning for his or her future. We are honored that you might like to know more about us.
We are two deeply caring and nurturing people who have abundant love to share with a precious baby. Every day, we pray for the chance to dedicate ourselves to raising a happy and healthy child in our home and community.
We are sure that you will make the best decision for your child. If getting to know us is part of that process for you, we would love to tell you more about ourselves and our lives.
Wishing you peace and love today and always,

Jaime & Philippe
Hello! Our names are Jaime and Philippe, and we are honored that you are considering us as you explore your adoption journey. Please know how much we admire your strength, courage and selfless love.
We deeply respect all the thought and care that you are putting into this important decision and our hearts and prayers are with you, whatever your decision becomes.
After reading a little bit about us, we hope you’ll want to get to know us even more — and we’d love to get to know you as well. So, here’s a start…
We met in 2004 at “karaoke night” in our town. We felt an instant connection and through the years developed a bond and friendship that was unbreakable.
In 2009, we got married and can truly say that the strength of our relationship is based on our love, respect, trust and strong communication with one another. Together we share core values that were the basis of our upbringing — and will be the basis of our family one day, as well. Honesty, open-mindedness, compassion and kindness are the most important principles to live by, along with a lot of love, laughter and adventure!
We have so much fun together, whether it is traveling, playing sports or spending time with friends and family, and we love the simple things in life, like cooking dinner together, sitting on our sofa “just hanging out”, or listening to music and day dreaming. That said, we’ve also been through a lot of hard and sad times, and its in those times that we relied on each other to carry us through.
Our friends and family are everything to us — and while many live far away, we love that it gives us the chance to travel all over the world (Philippe’s family live in Belgium and Germany, Jaime’s live in South Carolina, Connecticut and NY). We are truly blessed and grateful for the life we have, and we cannot wait to share it with a child one day.
Please know that we already have a special place in our heart and family for you, and promise to give a child the warmth, protection, love and support that will help them blossom into the wonderful person they will undoubtedly become.
We hope this gives you a small sense of who we are, and would love the opportunity to meet you and share stories together. We have faith that if it is meant to be, our journeys will find one another.
Much love, peace and prayers,
Jaime & Philippe

We admire your strength and courage in considering adoption and we feel honored that you’re considering us to be part of your child’s life.

We are excited to welcome a child into our family. We both grew up in big families and its been a dream of ours to expand our family, and have our child play with his/her cousins and extended family.
We feel blessed to become parents, and it’s important for us that our child grows up proud of every part of who he/she is and his/her history. We promise to open our hearts and provide a child with unconditional love and support. We hope this book provides you with a sense of who we are, and the loving family we will welcome a child into.

Paul & Matthew
Our names are Paul and Matthew, an international couple (one French, one midwestern American from St Louis, Missouri). We are an adventurous duo who have been together for 13 years. We were married 5 years ago in Brooklyn, NY. Our relationship has taken us from France (where we met), to England, Japan, Germany, and then spent 10 years living in Brooklyn. Last year, we made a choice to pursue a passion for nature and move to a new home in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, now calling Seattle home.
We own our home in a beautiful neighborhood called Capitol Hill, a diverse neighborhood walking distance from parks, schools, restaurants, and bordered with views of stunning Puget Sound and two mountain ranges: the Olympics and Cascades. We have made wonderful friends here in Seattle, many of whom have young children.
Having a child has been a goal of ours since when we first met. We promise to create a home for a child that is filled with love and support, and to expand the child’s understanding of the world – we are committed to making sure they also speak multiple languages as well!
We have not met you but we are filled with gratitude and admiration for your strength to consider this option and for your willingness to consider making us an entrusted part of your child’s life.
Although we cannot imagine the challenge of making this decision, we want you to know that we are dedicated to making a wonderful home for your child, and hope to work together to be part of each others lives, if that feels right to you. We return to New York often to see our friends and family as it is very important to us to maintain these relationships and would welcome organizing visits in NYC, near you, and hopefully in Seattle as well.
We look forward to meeting you and to beginning this beautiful adventure together. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

Lunden & Daniel
Hello! We are excited to introduce ourselves —and to become parents through adoption and share our lives full of love, laughter, and play. We fell in love in 2007. A neighbor and mutual friend introduced us on their porch. We immediately fell in love with each other’s laughter, kindness, and generosity. We married four years later. We have found in each other soul mates. We love creating together – painting murals, making bookshelves from wood, or cooking with vegetables from our garden. We love dancing at parties or when blasting music at our house. We truly enjoy being together.
We share joys and hardships together. We have carried each other through the ups and downs of life, including the loss of dear friends and Daniel’s mother. Riding the waves of celebration and grief has made us stronger, bringing us closer to one another and our community.
Our friends are a core part of our lives. An evening often involves raucous card games like spades, a quiet movie night, or friends just stopping by. Friends know they can stop by to talk, laugh together, or get us to make them chocolate chip cookies or blueberry pancakes.
We know you are making a big decision and we thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
Fun Facts about Lunden & Daniel
Favorite Foods: We love cooking and baking. This year we set a challenge to cook every recipe in our favorite cookbook! Our current favorite: garlic scalloped potatoes.
Favorite Holidays: This is a tough call. Each year we play charades at Lunden’s family’s Thanksgiving and make homemade cinnamon buns and go to the Nutcracker at Daniel’s family’s Christmas …but we’ve got to go with a beautiful snowy Christmas with family around an open fire!
Favorite Places: We love traveling and have gotten to go to some unusual places — Morocco, New Zealand, Colombia… our favorite place we’ve been? Beautiful day, great weather, best beaches: Hawaii.
Favorite Hobbies: We love creating and doing things together. A typical week includes dancing, biking in a nearby park, doing household projects (like building a table) – and a lot of laughter. Our favorite to do together? Long walks in the woods with our dog!

We are Sarah and Patrick. We live in Northern NJ in a community less than an hour from Manhattan. Having a family was always important to us, and we are excited to welcome a child through adoption.
After meeting in 2007, from the start we knew not only would we fall in love but also we’d become best friends! We married soon after, and have been adventuring together ever since. Both of us enjoy music, traveling both locally and abroad, holidays and long weekends with family and close friends, the arts, and history. We also celebrate each other’s differences – Sarah loves all things Disney and Patrick has a strong passion for sports.
We appreciate how important a decision like adoption is, and think its courageous you are considering this loving option for your child. If you were to select us as adoptive parents for your child, we would look forward to helping them grow under the safe protective wing of our large and warm extended family, teaching them the morals that will guide their decisions and helping them discover the unique interests that spark their enthusiasm.
Sending positive thoughts to you at this time. We hope to meet you soon and answer any question you may have.

Tina & Mike
Hi! Thanks for checking out our profile. We’re Mike and Tina, and we’ve been married for 11 years. In some ways, we’re very different. Mike is quiet and reserved, and loves to play and watch sports. Tina is talkative and energetic, and loves music and theater. But we both have common values and morals: being honest and truthful, treating others the way you want to be treated, cherishing those you love. These beliefs keep us committed to each other and to our family.
We longed for a child for many years and wanted more than anything to become parents. After six years of difficulty, we finally had our son, Sam. Our challenging journey to have a family only strengthened our bond and our commitment to each other. Experiencing the joys of parenthood has really made us want to have more children, and we’ve decided to build our family through adoption. We will love unconditionally any child who comes into our home.
We are best friends who have fun and enjoy making our way through life together. We have a natural and easy relationship, and work things out by talking and listening to each other. Neither of us could ever imagine life without the other, and believe that we were a family already, even before we had our son. We just want to take the next step and turn our family of three into a family of four (or more!).
If you decide to make an adoption plan for your child and think we might be the ones to parent, we will be ready with open arms. We wish you all the best in your decision.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We want to let you know how much we respect your decision to consider an adoption plan for your child. We know that this is a difficult decision and we are humbled by your strength, courage and love for your child.
We met in New York City 4 years ago, a short two months after Jess had moved to the United States from Australia. Since we met, our friends have always said how well we complement each other, even though we are so different and come from worlds away (Jacque is a born and bred New Yorker). Jess is bubbly, energetic and charming (the accent helps!), and Jac is thoughtful, considerate and has a brilliant and dry sense of humor. Together, we are full of love, laughter and happiness… something that we share with our friends and family, and can’t wait to share with a child.
We have fun and we laugh every day. We love to travel and explore, cook and eat, and spend time with friends and family. We are always up for an adventure, love learning, and trying new things. We are so excited to share our world with a child.

My name is Katherine. Thank you for looking at my profile. I know you face enormous and overwhelming choices. I realized that I wanted to become a mother one day when I was driving home from spending a weekend with my nephews in NY. I found myself missing them already on the drive home, and I decided I didn’t want to have to drive away anymore. My mom taught me the value of caring for others and showed me how to be a mother by being an amazing mother herself. I hope to pass on that gift to a child as well.
I grew up out west, and have been in Philadelphia for almost a decade. I became a public interest lawyer because I always knew I wanted to help people, even before I knew how. The only goals I have for my children are that they be happy, well-adjusted and successful, whatever that means for them.
Thank you for taking the time to read these words. No matter what you decide, I wish you nothing but the best.

Hi! Our names are Lauren and Emily. (Lauren is the one with short hair; Emily has long hair). We’re honored to be considered as prospective adoptive parents. We are looking forward to sharing our lives with a child, and all the new adventures and challenges that will bring.
We met in 2005 while working together as AmeriCorps members at a local housing program. Lauren pretended to be real tough, but Emily didn’t buy it. We were friends for many years until we started dating about five years ago. We were both surprised by how well we understood each other and got along! Emily appreciates Lauren’s steady cool and Lauren appreciates how Emily expands her comfort zone.
We now live together in West Philadelphia, where Lauren works as a carpenter and Emily works as an architect. Friends describe us as loyal, quiet, creative, and compassionate. We enjoy both being a part of our community in Philadelphia and also traveling to new places. You can often find us doing craft and carpentry projects together or cooking, eating, hiking and biking with friends. You can also often find us spending time with our parents, siblings, and extended family.
We respect and admire you for the decisions you are making! Thanks in advance for taking the time to get to know about us as part of that process.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We know this is a difficult time for you, but we both think that you are a strong, amazing, and special person. We really appreciate being a part of your adoption journey, and whatever you decide, we’re confident that it will be the right decision.
We are Anthony and Renata. Anthony is an airline pilot, and Renata works as an attorney working in finance. We currently live in Manhattan in a very family (and dog) friendly neighborhood. We live not too far from Central Park, where we love to spend our time together taking walks with our dogs, going for a run or a bike ride, and ice skating in the winter. We met (of all places) in the subway ten years ago, and have been married for seven. We have always wanted to be parents, and had been interested in adoption even before we discovered that it would be difficult for us to have children biologically.
Thanks again for considering us as a part of your adoption process. We may not know you yet, but we think the world of you.
Anthony and Renata
Fun Facts about Renata & Anthony
Favorite places: New York, Chicago, Sao Paulo – wherever there are friends and family! However, if we had to narrow it down to just one specific place – it would probably have to be Central Park.
Favorite foods: The only correct answer is pizza. But, if we had to widen it out a bit – food that reminds us of home. Brazilian, Italian and Mediterranean, and of course good Chicago Hot Dogs.
Favorite hobbies: Anthony – Flying and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’ve been flying since I was 16, and have been training BJJ for two years. Renata – I have always loved dancing and listening to music. I also enjoy taking a nice walk or running outside.
Favorite holidays: Christmas is great, but halloween is where it’s at. The month leading up to halloween we try to watch at least one scary movie per week.

Eric & Tyler
Hi there! Although we have not yet met you, we admire the strength, courage, and love you have for your child and we are humbled that you would consider allowing us to be part of your journey. We are grateful for the time you are spending getting to know us.
We are two smart guys who can be serious when we need to be, but would much rather be adventurous and a little silly. Whether it’s a hayride with our nephews, surprise birthday trips, visiting every random tourist attraction we can find, or just quiet nights at home on the couch with our dogs, we try to pack as much fun into life as possible. And we can’t wait to share our crazy, wonderful life with a child.
About ten minutes after our first date, Eric asked Tyler out again the next night. On that next date, we started a conversation about the kind of life we wanted to have and our desire to be dads. It’s a conversation we’ve never stopped having. Now, we know the time is right to expand our family through adoption. We are eager to embrace a child with an endless amount of unconditional love, teach them to be proud of who they are, and raise them knowing they can do and be anything they set their minds on.
Whether we are the right family for your child or not, we wish you peace that will guide your heart through this decision and beyond.

Whitney & Robert
We are Whitney and Robert. We met over ten years ago, and have been married since 2015. We are so thankful that you have chosen to learn about us and our dream of becoming parents. Although we don’t know you, we admire your thoughtfulness and bravery for considering adoption. We offer our heartfelt support as you plan the future for yourself and for your child.
There are all sorts of factoids that can be scrambled together to explain us: we are people who place a premium on friendship and loyalty (we met at a mutual friend’s wedding); we love seeing the unfamiliar world (Whitney lived in London for a semester in college, and Robert has traveled around the country twice); we are “culture vultures” (museums, concerts, theater, movies, restaurants, books – we love it all). We are also big baseball fans. In short, we love being alive and are determined to experience as much of what is good on Earth as we can.
We both have close friends since childhood, and many friends that we have gathered along the way through different schools and jobs. We have board game nights, and like to picnic and hike and watch movies outside in the summer. Our friends are excited that we are building our family through adoption and are very supportive.
We enjoy traveling near and far, but we always love coming home to Brooklyn. While we are close to Manhattan and all it has to offer, what we love most about Brooklyn is that it is a rich and diverse community with thoughtful, caring neighbors and local stores and shops. We live five minutes from two different parks, one with a large playground and another with walking trails along the water. Our block, lined with trees and brownstones, has lots of children and families.
Thank you for clicking on our profile. We are excited to build our family through adoption with love, compassion and encouragement. We wish you strength and peace as you make this decision.

We met in Philadelphia twelve years ago and have been together ever since. We’ve traveled all over the world together, bought our first home and then our second, and got married in 2014. Through it all we’ve talked about having children, and in 2016 we were fortunate to welcome our daughter Violet into our family through adoption. Being the fathers of this amazing little girl has only confirmed for us that we want our family to keep growing, and for Violet to have a brother or sister.
We’re excited to tell you all about our lives and we hope that this book can be a start. We share a lot of the same passions: food, travel, good friends, and family. We’re blessed with a great network of people who love and support us.
We’re honored by your consideration, and wish you all the best in your journey.

We have loving and supportive family and friends who will share in our joy as we welcome a child into our lives. We will unconditionally love our child, nurturing them as they grow and encouraging exploration of their unique interests and talents.

Congratulations! Brooke & Glenn have adopted a baby girl!
It is a pleasure to meet you, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We can only imagine what this decision might be like and we appreciate your dedication and strength. We have been friends for 15 years and married for five. Growing up in a large family, Glenn always imagined raising children one day. In her work with children and horses, Brooke knew that she would like to have a family as well, and as she spent much time with families that were formed through adoption, she always imagined that she would adopt one day. In the past few years both Glenn and Brooke have completed their graduate degrees, are living on the family farm, and are incredibly excited about welcoming a child into their home.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us, our family, and our friends. We wanted to share these images and thoughts with you as we believe that family, friendship, and love are what gives us strength in life as well as bring us all joy. We would like to share that with a child and are honored that you looked through our profile. Words cannot express our appreciation.
No matter where your heart and decisions lead you, we wish the very best for you and your baby.
With all our love,
Brooke and Glenn

We aim to raise our child free from judgment and in a home filled with unconditional support and love.
We believe in quality time with loved ones – as simple as running errands, sharing a meal, or having a heart to heart. Those moments become special with the intention and presence you bring to them. We are excited to share all of life’s moments with a child.

We are Jessica and Miles, and we’re glad to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves a little bit.
We are excited to grow our family through adoption. We have many younger siblings, cousins, and nephews and nieces, and when we became a couple in 2007 we couldn’t wait to start our own family. Getting to be parents to our daughter Tilda, born in 2010, has been a huge and joyful part of our lives. We know that our family is not yet complete; we have a lot of love and care and commitment to give.
We live in a diverse, family-friendly neighborhood in Brooklyn, in a sunny home filled with books and laughter. Our children will be raised in a loving and stable family, with values we hold highly: curiosity, independence, and respect. We are excited to show you more of what our life looks like.
We imagine this is a difficult time, and we wish you strength in getting through it. We hope you’re getting a lot of help and support. We admire your courage and thoughtfulness in considering adoption for your child.

Congratulations! Zakiyyah & Ty have adopted a baby girl!
We are Zakiyyah, Zoe and Ty and we are excited about the prospect of expanding our family through adoption. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. Hopefully, after you read our story and look through the pictures of us and our family and friends, it will give you a clear glimpse into our lives.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to imagine what kind of parents we will be and how we will nurture and bring up your child.
We met online in our early 30s, and found that in addition to careers in science fields, we had many similar interests, including our love of animals, sports and music. We dated for 3 years before getting married in 2011. We live in the suburbs of Philadelphia in a comfortable townhouse in a family-oriented development. Seeing so many young children in our neighborhood, we were anxious to start a family right away. Unfortunately, medical issues prevented us from conceiving, and after unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization, we decided to build our family through adoption. We adopted our daughter Zoe in 2014 and she has truly changed our lives for the better.
We know from experience that adoption is not a process to be entered into lightly or without a lot of thought and consideration. We chose adoption because we want to be able to provide a child with a wonderful life and all the advantages that we ourselves had growing up. We have discussed our decision in depth with our families. They have been very supportive, and we know they will always be there for us.
Venturing into a new area as parents of multiple children may be a bit more challenging, but we welcome it with open arms because the rewards of having a second child will be unlimited. It will certainly be an adventure that we can’t wait to go on and one that will be better than anything we could have imagined.

Congratulations! Sandra & Liza have adopted a baby boy!
We are deeply honored and humbled that you are taking the time to consider our story as you consider such a profound, difficult decision.
We want to thank you for your courage and your willingness to read more about us.
Our hearts go out to you, and we wish the very best for you and your child, today and in the future.
We’re Sandra and Liza. We first met each other and fell in love 14 years ago, and we adopted our first child, Santiago, four years ago. We have always known we want to raise a family together, and we are eager to welcome another child into our lives–and Santiago very much wants to be a big brother!
In our daily lives, we believe in living in the moment and in soaking in each new day with its joys and challenges. We love the outdoors, the simple pleasure of sharing meals together, and the opportunity to laugh every day. We take as much joy in a walk around the block with our dog as we do in a hike in one of the National Parks we love to visit. We care deeply about our community and the wider world, and are committed to living a simple life full of rich experiences. We live with intention and believe in letting our actions show who we are and who we want to be.
We are both passionate about our work as teachers; we both teach at Quaker schools because we share in the Quaker belief that there is something sacred within each and every individual. Sandra teaches Spanish, her native tongue, and Music to students in pre-K through 4th grade. Liza teaches English Literature, her greatest passion, to middle and high school students. We are both at our best when we are sharing our knowledge and our love of learning with young people; we both see teaching as a way of being in the world, not just a profession or career. Our experiences as teachers have given us a deep desire to provide our children with love, freedom, and safety as they explore many different passions, beliefs and ideas.
We believe strongly in the value of knowing one’s past and history, and in the importance of honesty and integrity. We feel so lucky to include Santiago’s birth family in our lives through visits, stories and photographs. We are committed to having an open adoption with you if that is something you would like. We would love our child to know the woman who made this choice and to recognize the love and the courage she has shared with both our child and with us.
Again, we thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about us through this profile. We have great faith that you are on the path to finding the best parents for your child, and that our second child is on his or her own journey towards us.

Hi! We’re Cathy and Kevin, and we’re grateful to you for taking the time to read our book. You’ll learn lots about us in the pages that follow, but we’ll tell you the most important thing right here: We’re eager to become parents through adoption, and we know we’ll be great ones.
