Hello!

We are Can and Laura, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to share our family profile with you. We hope this book gives you a sense of who we are and the values that guide us every day: kindness, generosity, and gratitude.

We have been together for 9 years and married for 3. We share a love of making art, reading books, cooking spicy food, country line dancing, and exploring the city of Philly, where we live.

Both of us come from big, loving extended families, and we have always dreamed of building a family of our own through adoption. We are looking forward to sharing cherished traditions and building new traditions together.

We can’t imagine how difficult this decision must be for you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking a moment to learn about our family.

Fun Facts About Can & Laura

Favorite Places: New Orleans, Montreal, and Mexico City. We value traveling and experiencing new places as often as we can.

Favorite Foods: Thai, Vietnamese, and Cajun. The spicier the better!

Favorite Hobbies: Laura loves to sew, garden, and read. Can loves playing board games, and the guitar. On the weekends you might find us at the local farmer’s market, or at trivia with friends.

Favorite Holidays: We love Halloween, when we get to make homemade costumes and hand out candy on our vibrant neighborhood block! We also love Thanksgiving, where we cook and visit with our big extended families. And, of course, we love to celebrate our unique cultural traditions like Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras!
