Hello! Our names are Dan and Jake, and we are the parents of two-year-old Cleo. Thank you for reading our story and getting to know us a little better. We are appreciative and grateful that you would consider us as part of your adoption plan.
Our lives in Brooklyn, New York, with Cleo are full of love. Our home is one where laughter rings out constantly, and we have been so happy making special memories for the past two years with Cleo, who joined our family through adoption in 2020. Now, we are ready to open up our lives even further with a new sibling to join our family.
We spend our time reading books, playing in parks, learning about the world around us and spending special time snuggled under blankets. We are both creative and loving people who are eager to continue our journey as a silly, happy, joyful family.Both of us have flexible schedules that will allow us to attend piano recitals or soccer games — or to bandage skinned knees and plan visits from Santa. We want to thank you so much for considering us to play a role in your child’s life.

Fun Facts about Jake & Dan
Favorite places: Our favorite places to visit as tourists have included Italy, Cambodia, and the United Kingdom. We also love visiting Cleo’s grandparents in Cape Cod and in California. We love to travel together and are so excited to get our growing family to see the world!
Favorite foods: Dan loves to cook and Jake loves his roast chicken and his trout. If we’re going out to dinner, Dan loves Mexican and Italian and Jake loves Thai food.
Favorite sports teams: Jake is passionate about sports and will watch anything — and thinks of himself as a future Little League coach! His favorite teams are the Oakland A’s and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Favorite hobbies: Both of us love to work out and to try new restaurants and coffee shops. Dan loves to read, write short stories, and go to the movies; Jake loves to watch sports.
Favorite holidays: We love celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah, including with a big holiday party for all Cleo’s friends!
