We’re a warm, caring, and goofy little family that loves being together. Whether it’s cooking dinner, chasing each other around the park, or curling up with a good book, we try to fill our days with love, laughter, and honesty.
If we’re lucky enough to be part of your child’s life, we promise to raise them, knowing where they came from—with pride in their story and deep respect for the brave choice you’re making. Our whole family—us, our daughters Denise and Zeudi, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and even our two silly dogs, Frankie and Vita— is already full of love for this child and can’t wait to welcome them with open arms and open hearts. However this journey unfolds, we’re honored to be part of it—even just for a moment. We can’t truly imagine how hard this must be for you, and we’re deeply grateful that you are considering our family.
Fun Facts About Rishan & Jason
Favorite Places: Rishan loves visiting her hometown of Rome, Italy—especially for family time and delicious food. Jason loves going to the beach. Together they cherish family road trips or a nice family vacation by the water, whether it’s a lake or the ocean.
Favorite Foods: As a true Italian Rishan obviously finds joy eating pasta or pastries (sweet tooth!) but she cannot pass a week without spicy food, especially the ones from her parents’ country Eritrea. Jason is a true New Yorker; his favorite food is Pizza! He is always on the search for the best slice in NYC. They love discovering new restaurants and trying out all sorts of different foods in Brooklyn.
Favorite Hobbies: Rishan enjoys cooking, crafting, and amateur team sports like volleyball. Jason is passionate about technology, reading, barbecuing, and gardening. Together, they’re always planning their next adventure—traveling is their favorite way to connect and learn as a family.
Favorite Holidays: Rishan treasures Christmas trips with her family, whether in Brooklyn or back in Italy. Jason hosts a legendary Thanksgiving with his juicy smoked Turkey, turning their home into a hub of warmth, laughter, and great food. Holidays are all about bringing loved ones together—from big family gatherings to quiet mornings with their daughters and dogs.
