Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my family as you consider the possibility of making an adoption plan for your child. I am an American who grew up in Europe, in a number of different countries. I came back to the United States while I was in high school, then I went to college in New Hampshire and graduate school in New York. I’ve been working in nonprofit organizations in New York ever since. I have a house in a quiet neighborhood with good schools, across from a conservation area.
Education, music, travel, and the outdoors are lifelong loves for me – I’m always interested in learning something new. Feeding curiosity is a joy, and you just never know what experience will enable you to come up with a creative response to the issues that come up in daily life.
The decision you are making now is so difficult. But I believe strongly that whatever decision you make, it will be the right one for you and your child because it comes from a place of love. I know the others I’ve met on this journey agree. You are not alone.
I hope this profile will give you a good sense of my world, and all the people who are standing ready to open their hearts to a new member of our family. When all is said and done, the value I believe is most important is kindness. Kindness to others, and kindness to yourself, can give you the strength and guidance to navigate most puzzles in life, large and small.
Sincerely,
Kate
