Hello,
My name Is Marissa and I’m glad to be able to introduce myself to you. I want to commend you for your courage, rooted in love in being on this journey. I am a queer Afro-Latina who has always loved children. I am ready to be a parent and offer a safe and loving environment for them. My friends would describe me as a natural caregiver who is always kind and stands up for others when things are unjust.
I believe in the strength of the village and am very connected with my family and friends. We are all excited to welcome a new life into our village and share our love and gifts with them. I look forward to welcoming a child in my world and sharing old traditions and creating new ones.
I have had my share of ups and downs. I was married for several years and tried starting a family. I never had a child and later the relationship ended in divorce. It was definitely not the plan I had envisioned for myself. While it was difficult and painful in many aspects, I felt the universe knew best what was right for me. What that experience taught me, was that there are many ways to build a family and that adoption is one of them. I am excited to welcome my first child into my family.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me.
