Sarah & Patrick
We are Sarah and Patrick. We live in Northern NJ in a community less than an hour from Manhattan. Having a family was always important to us, and we are excited to welcome a child through adoption.
After meeting in 2007, from the start we knew not only would we fall in love but also we’d become best friends! We married soon after, and have been adventuring together ever since. Both of us enjoy music, traveling both locally and abroad, holidays and long weekends with family and close friends, the arts, and history. We also celebrate each other’s differences – Sarah loves all things Disney and Patrick has a strong passion for sports.
We appreciate how important a decision like adoption is, and think its courageous you are considering this loving option for your child. If you were to select us as adoptive parents for your child, we would look forward to helping them grow under the safe protective wing of our large and warm extended family, teaching them the morals that will guide their decisions and helping them discover the unique interests that spark their enthusiasm.
Sending positive thoughts to you at this time. We hope to meet you soon and answer any question you may have.
Warm Wishes – Sarah & Pat

Tina & Mike
Hi! Thanks for checking out our profile. We’re Mike and Tina, and we’ve been married for 11 years. In some ways, we’re very different. Mike is quiet and reserved, and loves to play and watch sports. Tina is talkative and energetic, and loves music and theater. But we both have common values and morals: being honest and truthful, treating others the way you want to be treated, cherishing those you love. These beliefs keep us committed to each other and to our family.
We longed for a child for many years and wanted more than anything to become parents. After six years of difficulty, we finally had our son, Sam. Our challenging journey to have a family only strengthened our bond and our commitment to each other. Experiencing the joys of parenthood has really made us want to have more children, and we’ve decided to build our family through adoption. We will love unconditionally any child who comes into our home.
We are best friends who have fun and enjoy making our way through life together. We have a natural and easy relationship, and work things out by talking and listening to each other. Neither of us could ever imagine life without the other, and believe that we were a family already, even before we had our son. We just want to take the next step and turn our family of three into a family of four (or more!).
If you decide to make an adoption plan for your child and think we might be the ones to parent, we will be ready with open arms. We wish you all the best in your decision.

KateHello! Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my family as you consider the possibility of making an adoption plan…
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my family as you consider the possibility of making an adoption plan for your child. I am an American who grew up in Europe, in a number of different countries. I came back to the United States while I was in high school, then I went to college in New Hampshire and graduate school in New York. I’ve been working in nonprofit organizations in New York ever since. I have a house in a quiet neighborhood with good schools, across from a conservation area.
Education, music, travel, and the outdoors are lifelong loves for me – I’m always interested in learning something new. Feeding curiosity is a joy, and you just never know what experience will enable you to come up with a creative response to the issues that come up in daily life.
The decision you are making now is so difficult. But I believe strongly that whatever decision you make, it will be the right one for you and your child because it comes from a place of love. I know the others I’ve met on this journey agree. You are not alone.
I hope this profile will give you a good sense of my world, and all the people who are standing ready to open their hearts to a new member of our family. When all is said and done, the value I believe is most important is kindness. Kindness to others, and kindness to yourself, can give you the strength and guidance to navigate most puzzles in life, large and small.

My name is Katherine. Thank you for looking at my profile. I know you face enormous and overwhelming choices. I realized that I wanted to become a mother one day when I was driving home from spending a weekend with my nephews in NY. I found myself missing them already on the drive home, and I decided I didn’t want to have to drive away anymore. My mom taught me the value of caring for others and showed me how to be a mother by being an amazing mother herself. I hope to pass on that gift to a child as well.
I grew up out west, and have been in Philadelphia for almost a decade. I became a public interest lawyer because I always knew I wanted to help people, even before I knew how. The only goals I have for my children are that they be happy, well-adjusted and successful, whatever that means for them.
Thank you for taking the time to read these words. No matter what you decide, I wish you nothing but the best.

Hi! Our names are Lauren and Emily. (Lauren is the one with short hair; Emily has long hair). We’re honored to be considered as prospective adoptive parents. We are looking forward to sharing our lives with a child, and all the new adventures and challenges that will bring.
We met in 2005 while working together as AmeriCorps members at a local housing program. Lauren pretended to be real tough, but Emily didn’t buy it. We were friends for many years until we started dating about five years ago. We were both surprised by how well we understood each other and got along! Emily appreciates Lauren’s steady cool and Lauren appreciates how Emily expands her comfort zone.
We now live together in West Philadelphia, where Lauren works as a carpenter and Emily works as an architect. Friends describe us as loyal, quiet, creative, and compassionate. We enjoy both being a part of our community in Philadelphia and also traveling to new places. You can often find us doing craft and carpentry projects together or cooking, eating, hiking and biking with friends. You can also often find us spending time with our parents, siblings, and extended family.
We respect and admire you for the decisions you are making! Thanks in advance for taking the time to get to know about us as part of that process.

Whitney & Robert
We are Whitney and Robert. We met over ten years ago, and have been married since 2015. We are so thankful that you have chosen to learn about us and our dream of becoming parents. Although we don’t know you, we admire your thoughtfulness and bravery for considering adoption. We offer our heartfelt support as you plan the future for yourself and for your child.
There are all sorts of facts that can be scrambled together to explain us: we are people who place a premium on friendship and loyalty (we met at a mutual friend’s wedding); we love seeing the unfamiliar world (Whitney lived in London for a semester in college, and Robert has traveled around the country twice); we are “culture vultures” (museums, concerts, theater, movies, restaurants, books – we love it all). We are also big baseball fans. In short, we love being alive and are determined to experience as much of what is good on Earth as we can.
We both have close friends since childhood, and many friends that we have gathered along the way through different schools and jobs. We have board game nights, and like to picnic and hike and watch movies outside in the summer. Our friends are excited that we are building our family through adoption and are very supportive.
We enjoy traveling near and far, but we always love coming home to Brooklyn. While we are close to Manhattan and all it has to offer, what we love most about Brooklyn is that it is a rich and diverse community with thoughtful, caring neighbors and local stores and shops. We live five minutes from two different parks, one with a large playground and another with walking trails along the water. Our block, lined with trees and brownstones, has lots of children and families.
Thank you for clicking on our profile. We are excited to build our family through adoption with love, compassion and encouragement. We wish you strength and peace as you make this decision.

Eric & Tyler
Hi there! Although we have not yet met you, we admire the strength, courage, and love you have for your child and we are humbled that you would consider allowing us to be part of your journey. We are grateful for the time you are spending getting to know us.
We are two smart guys who can be serious when we need to be, but would much rather be adventurous and a little silly. Whether it’s a hayride with our nephews, surprise birthday trips, visiting every random tourist attraction we can find, or just quiet nights at home on the couch with our dogs, we try to pack as much fun into life as possible. And we can’t wait to share our crazy, wonderful life with a child.
About ten minutes after our first date, Eric asked Tyler out again the next night. On that next date, we started a conversation about the kind of life we wanted to have and our desire to be dads. It’s a conversation we’ve never stopped having. Now, we know the time is right to expand our family through adoption. We are eager to embrace a child with an endless amount of unconditional love, teach them to be proud of who they are, and raise them knowing they can do and be anything they set their minds on.
Whether we are the right family for your child or not, we wish you peace that will guide your heart through this decision and beyond.

Samantha & Caleb
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Although we haven’t met, we are certain that you are courageous, wise, and maternal. No matter what you decide is best for your baby, we are honored to be part of your process.
We are Caleb & Samantha. We are high school sweethearts from the Midwest that have made NYC home. Samantha works as an event producer and Caleb is a professional musician. We feel fortunate that we get to do what we love every day of our life and are SO ready to enrich those days (and nights!) with a baby. The both of us are committed to raising a child that knows and is proud of their history in a loving, respectful, and diverse environment.
We always knew we wanted to have kids, but we were not in a rush. Our 20’s were spent enjoying each other and the life we were building, but once our 30’s hit we decided we were ready to enhance our life with a child. We had always talked about adoption but decided to try biologically first. After a year of trying we found out that it was not physically possible to get pregnant. Although it was jarring to learn, it was also super clear: our family was going to grow through adoption! We feel like we were unquestionably meant to be on this beautiful and unique journey and we are grateful and humbled to be part of it.
Thank you again for spending some time with us. We know you have the strength and wisdom to decide what is best for your baby. If it involves us, we promise to provide a loving, supportive, and safe home. We promise to show our child what the world has to offer and cherish them for the gift that they are for the rest of our lives.

Samantha is an avid runner and loves anything that involves animals. Caleb enjoys playing sports, listening to podcasts, photography, and making music videos in his free time.
Favorite music: This is a hard one as Caleb is a professional musician and Samantha has a degree in Music Business – but if we had to pick this is what it would be: Samantha: I love a mix of 70’s singer-songwriters and soul/R&B. Some of my favorite artists are Joni Mitchell, Donny Hathaway, and Bruno Mars. Caleb: I like to keep up with whatever is current, but my true music loves are Prince, Randy Newman, and Janet Jackson.

Jon & Henry
Hello! We’re Jon and Henry (Henry is the redhead in the pictures). We know that making an adoption plan is not easy, and whatever choice you make, it will be the best one for your child. We hope that reading this letter will tell you something about who we are and about the loving and supportive home, family, and community we are so eager to share with a child.
Both of us are college professors. Jon teaches writing and Henry teaches math. We’ve been together for five wonderful years, and married for the last year and a half. Together we like traveling, storytelling games, taking walks in the woods and cooking. We’re also learning to bake, which has been a ton of fun (and delicious).
We live in a big house in a beautiful, diverse neighborhood of Philadelphia filled with trees and historic homes. We love being able to walk to nearby cafés and parks, and especially to see all of our friends who live nearby. We’re active in our neighborhood’s synagogue, where we’ve found a welcoming community of friends, including a lot of families with kids, and other families formed by adoption.
We both come from close-knit, loving families who we visit whenever we can and who are excited for us to become parents, and we’ve found an amazing group of close friends both in our neighborhood and all over the country who have become part of our family too.
Our home will always be full of books, plants, music, hugs, good food, and good friends, and your child will be part of a genuine community of family, friends and neighbors who will be there for them as they grow. We’re proud of the loving home and community we’ve built, and we can’t wait to welcome a child into it.

Lauren & Sandra
Hello! We are Lauren and Sandra. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us! We have spent the last 13 years learning and growing together, and are ready to grow our family.
We live in a diverse town in southern New Jersey. Lauren is originally from New Jersey, while Sandra is from New York City. We are an interracial family, and living in a diverse area is very important to us. We enjoy exploring nearby cities, seeing movies, going for walks around the neighborhood lake, comedy, game nights, and trying new recipes.
One of our favorite things about our relationship is how much we complement each other. While Lauren is outgoing and talkative, Sandra is shy and reserved. Lauren wants to jump in head first, while Sandra prefers to take her time. Lauren’s outgoing personality has encouraged Sandra to try new things, and Sandra’s reserved nature has showed Lauren the value in slowing down.
When imagining our growing family, we always knew that adoption was the right choice for us. Sandra has felt strongly about becoming a parent through adoption since childhood, and Lauren was raised with two close cousins who joined their families through adoption. We strongly believe that adoption is the best fit for us, and are so excited to build our family through the adoption process. If chosen, your child will be raised in a loving, supportive, positive, and nurturing home, always knowing that they came to us with love.
Your bravery and strength is beyond admirable, and we wish you all the love and encouragement in the world as you continue this journey.
Lauren and Sandra
Fun Facts about Lauren & Sandra:

Favorite sports teams: Sandra is a huge sports fan, especially soccer and basketball. Her favorite teams include Real Madrid FC and the New York Knicks. Lauren comes from a family of devoted Phillies fans, but prefers the Mets.
Favorite holidays: We love Halloween and really enjoy coming up with our yearly couple’s costume. We also love celebrating Christmas and Thanksgiving with our families and close friends.
Favorite music: Sandra is a fan of hip-hop and pop music, while Laurens taste in music is truly stuck in the 90’s (she still listens to CD’s!)

Hello, My name is Andrea, please call me Andi. I want you to know how deeply I appreciate you looking at my profile and considering me as a parent for your child. This must be an incredibly difficult time for you and I wish you much peace of mind. I honor you for the courage that you have as you make the important decisions in front of you. Thank you for considering me.
I am a life long Philadelphian. I am an outgoing person who loves to connect with people. I am a single woman with a large extended family of parents, aunts/uncles and cousins in the area. In addition, I am part of a large community. Though I left the area for ten years of schooling I have been back in the community for 16 years. I live in a wonderful, safe and diverse area in a home that I own right outside of the city.
I have an extremely close relationship with my siblings and parents. My parents are wonderful people and they are local. My dad is family doctor. My mom had her own business for many years and now does volunteer work. My brother lives an hour away with his family, and my sister and her family live in Boston. We speak every day and are very much a large, loud and loving extended family. We love to gather for holiday dinners or for lazy days down the shore in the summer. I am very close with my teen niece and nephew.
Professionally I work as a member of the clergy. I am a rabbi and I work at a large synagogue as part of a team. I love to meet families at all points in their lives and to help them to find spiritual meaning and comfort. I am also an activist for those in need.
Fifteen years ago I founded a food pantry. My work involves a great deal of time with children of all ages. My congregants often tell me that I would be a wonderful mom; I yearn to be a mom and to provide a warm, loving, fun, creative home for a child. Because I work in a large community I have some flexibility in my schedule and my co-workers and congregants are very excited and supportive of my building a family.
In my work and family I have always loved helping kids to discover who they are and what special gifts they have been given. Though I am not yet married, I do hold out hope for that kind of committed relationship. In the meantime, I do not want to miss out on the blessings of raising children. With that in mind, and with the strong support of all those around me, I am excited to build my family through adoption. Please know that in my family your child would always know unconditional love, and I would, of course, be open to having you in our lives also.
When I am not working I love to cook big dinners for friends and family. I love to ride my bike, especially at the shore. I also love to sing. There is always music in my life. I am a movie buff and love pop culture. I enjoy travel and would want my child to see the world and experience many cultures.
As you can see, I am a person of faith and consider my life to be blessed. I would love to add one more blessing of children to my life, and to share my blessings. I wish you good luck in your upcoming decisions and in the months ahead. I am hoping that I will be able to learn more about you and your family.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We’re grateful that you’re choosing to learn more about us.
We are Daniel and Shubha, and we’ve been together since 2012 and are a writer and film editor, and non-profit worker. We met in New York City and got married in 2015. We have always wanted to adopt a child as a way to grow our family. We would be excited to bring up a child in our neighborhood in Brooklyn – we would love to take them to our community garden and plant vegetables together, read stories (and make up our own), visit the children’s museum around the corner, and just spend time with lots of aunties and uncles.
Above all, we would provide our child with unconditional love, support them in growing into whoever they want to be, and surround the child with a warm and stable home.
We can only imagine the courage and love you are feeling right now to be considering adoption and we truly send you all our best wishes and strength in making the right decision for you and your child, regardless of whether we are a part of it.

Hello! We’re Kris and Mark. Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We admire your courage for considering an adoption plan. Whatever you choose to do, we feel privileged that you considered us.
We met in Philadelphia twelve years ago and have been together ever since. We’ve traveled all over the world together, bought our first home and then our second, and got married in 2014. Through it all we’ve talked about having children, and in 2016 we were fortunate to welcome our daughter Violet into our family through adoption. Being the fathers of this amazing little girl has only confirmed for us that we want our family to keep growing, and for Violet to have a brother or sister.
We’re excited to tell you all about our lives and we hope that this book can be a start. We share a lot of the same passions: food, travel, good friends, and family. We’re blessed with a great network of people who love and support us.
We’re honored by your consideration, and wish you all the best in your journey.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves! We are Jane and Kelly. We met four years ago in Philadelphia, where we live now. We were married in May, 2018. Kelly is an elementary school principal and Jane is a surgeon. Although we work hard, our family is our top priority. We are currently raising two children together, Jacques and Oona, who are Kelly’s biological children. They are incredibly kind and talented, each in their own way. We are looking forward to bringing a baby into our family.
There is a park one street away from our house with a swing set, a jungle gym and grass where children love to play. We have wonderful neighbors and often the families on our block get together for soccer games and barbecues. We are also incredibly lucky to be able to provide our children with an excellent education at Kelly’s school.
We want to raise a child who feels safe, secure and loved. We want them to be kind and take care of the people around them. Ultimately, we want them to know they can make a positive impact on the world. Our friends and family could not be more supportive of our plans to adopt, and we are excited to welcome a child into our immediate and extended family! Thank you again for considering us as adoptive parents to your baby. We admire your courage, and we send you love and strength throughout your journey. We hope this book helps you get to know us!

We are so glad you took the time to look at our profile. We hope we can share with you through these photos how glad we are to have the chance to open our lives to a child. We both come from large extended families and have always been surrounded by people we love and care for. Our joy is to share that love and care.
Linda always says her family brings people together. Both her parents remarried and she is close with both of her step parents. In fact her step mom and her dad divorced, but her step mom remains a very important person in her life. So much so, that Linda was part of the wedding party when her step mom remarried. All of our family parties are lively gatherings, when the whole gang is present or even when it’s just smaller groups. We like to have people over to our house and fire up the grill in our backyard.
We still find time to travel as it is something we both enjoy and we have been to places like Mexico, Spain, France, Germany, Peru, and Jamaica, just to name a few. We hope to continue traveling with children and let them see the wonderful world we live in too. We also enjoy hanging out with out friends around the city and we both love Philly and all the things there are to do. We are life long Philadelphians and are super proud to say that. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we did taking them.

Congratulations! Nikki & John have adopted a baby girl!
Hi! We are John and Nikki. We thank you for considering us as you explore adoption for your baby. We hope that you will learn a little bit about us and who we are. We want you to know that having a family has been our dream for a long time. We are blessed to live a fulfilled life and becoming parents would be truly a gifted experience.
We met by chance in 2003. Both of us were living in Chicago at the time but somehow found ourselves at the Newark airport on the 4th of July. Nikki didn’t know how to get to the city and had to ask for directions from a stranger standing by the train ticket machine. That kind stranger happened to be John. We spoke the entire train ride and learned that we have many things in common such as travel, food, and sports. When we parted ways, John gave Nikki his business card. This could have been the end of story, but it’s not. A month later back in Chicago, Nikki contacted John and asked if he wanted to meet for drinks around their offices. We met up for a beer, had a great debate about football, and as they say, the rest is history. We’ve been married since 2005 and have enjoyed many debates about our favorite teams.
In the city, we enjoyed trying new types of cuisines, riding our bikes in the park, and meeting up with friends. Also, we’re happy to spend some down time at our Brooklyn home. We want to provide a home that embraces our community and the world.
Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We cannot imagine the decision you’re facing. We wish you strength and encouragement as you make this difficult decision.

Congratulations! Paul & Matthew have adopted a baby girl!
Our names are Paul and Matthew, an international couple (one French, one midwestern American from St Louis, Missouri). We are an adventurous duo who have been together for 13 years. We were married 5 years ago in Brooklyn, NY. Our relationship has taken us from France (where we met), to England, Japan, Germany, and then spent 10 years living in Brooklyn. Last year, we made a choice to pursue a passion for nature and move to a new home in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, now calling Seattle home.
We own our home in a beautiful neighborhood called Capitol Hill, a diverse neighborhood walking distance from parks, schools, restaurants, and bordered with views of stunning Puget Sound and two mountain ranges: the Olympics and Cascades. We have made wonderful friends here in Seattle, many of whom have young children.
Having a child has been a goal of ours since when we first met. We promise to create a home for a child that is filled with love and support, and to expand the child’s understanding of the world – we are committed to making sure they also speak multiple languages as well!
We have not met you but we are filled with gratitude and admiration for your strength to consider this option and for your willingness to consider making us an entrusted part of your child’s life.
Although we cannot imagine the challenge of making this decision, we want you to know that we are dedicated to making a wonderful home for your child, and hope to work together to be part of each others lives, if that feels right to you. We return to New York often to see our friends and family as it is very important to us to maintain these relationships and would welcome organizing visits in NYC, near you, and hopefully in Seattle as well.
We look forward to meeting you and to beginning this beautiful adventure together. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
