We are happy to offer you the option to meet and talk via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or the phone since meeting in person right now is difficult. Feel free to reach out 24/7 to 1-888-OPENARMS or email us at email@example.com and we would be happy to chat.
If you would like to learn more about adoption for your baby, we will be with you every step of the way.Contact Open Arms
Whether you call (1-888-OPEN-ARMS (1-888-673-6276)) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org), a counselor will help you understand the typical adoption process, answer any questions you have and will happy to meet with you in person if you would like.
Our counselors will not pressure you to give up your baby for adoption; we are here to support you in making the best choice for you and your baby.
As a pro-choice organization, we provide referrals to resources designed to help you parent, to abortion clinics where you will be treated with respect, as well as providing compassionate adoption services.
Our counseling is available to you free of charge, and is focused on helping you to determine what is best for you and your baby.
Depending on where you are in your pregnancy, you may feel resolved/confident that adoption is the right choice for you.
If so, Open Arms will offer you the opportunity to review Adoptive Family Profiles.
Each of our adoptive parents create personalized profile books so you can learn more about them. These books contain lots of photos and information about their lives and their family.
If looking at profiles feels too difficult, Open Arms can select the right family for your baby.
If you decide to select a family, you will have the opportunity to meet them.
If you would like to meet them, your counselor will always be with you to support you. These meetings are a chance for everyone to get to know each other.
If you remain firm in your adoption plan, we will work with hospital staff to make sure you feel comfortable.
We will help to make your hospital experience one where your needs and desires are respected and honored, and where you feel safe.
If after giving birth you are struggling with the decision to place your baby for adoption, or to parent, we offer interim care.
Open Arms offers Birth mothers the option to have their baby cared for by an Open Arms Interim Care family for a few days. These families are not adoptive families or foster families, rather families who have passed a rigorous home study process and offer loving care for babies to give mothers a few days to make the decision that is best for their baby.
There is no fee for these services. We are happy to offer our clients a few extra days as this decision should not be rushed.
A few days after giving birth, if you continue to be confident in your decision that adoption is the right choice for you and your baby, we will prepare all legal paperwork necessary to complete the adoption process.
Our support does not end once your baby has been adopted.
We will provide resources and referrals to help you get back on your feet. Should you desire to stay in contact with your counselor, they will also be there to support you for as long as you need them.
And if you want to stay connected to the adoptive family, we’re here to help you develop a successful and enriching relationship over the years.
